Most of us have been collecting LP's and 45's for years but do we handle them correctly? Fingers leave oils and residues on record surfaces that are sometimes difficult to remove. It is far better not to touch the surface of the record at all, but to hold it on the edges, balancing it by spreading your hand and putting other fingers on the label. BLOG # 2--It's that time of year again!

When I was a nurse, this time of year meant that holiday schedules were coming out and everyone would be clambering to get the ones of their choice....but there were requirements to satisfy.  We had to sign up for at least one "eve" and one "day" to work 12 hour shifts. That takes half your holiday season away from you instantly but we coped, we switched, we bargained and made deals to get what we wanted.
